This soft pastel painting depicts Harley Park in Boonville, Missouri, featuring one of its ancient Hopewell Indian mounds. The artwork evokes serenity and calm, showcasing the park’s natural beauty and historical significance. The delicate and feathery technique adds to the sense of tranquility. For the artist, Shannon, the park holds personal importance as a place where he spent a large part of his childhood playing baseball, roller skating, ice skating, and more, creating cherished memories. Shannon’s father further adds significance to the park, having served as the City Parks Director for over 20 years.

Studio Location
The studio is located just north of Walnut St. between Orr St. and 10th St., at 1026 Artist Alley, behind Ernie’s Cafe. It is open at different times throughout the week, including some First Fridays. You can drop by or schedule a visit by emailing or using the contact form.
