Inspired by a photo taken during a delightful lunch with his family in a park near the London School of Economics, Shannon ventured into the realm of vivid pastel painting in a unique and striking manner. He experimented with the unusual use of hard edges, solid shapes, and contrasting colors to depict a traditional leafy park scene. The artwork and reference photo are below.

Studio Location
The studio is located just north of Walnut St. between Orr St. and 10th St., at 1026 Artist Alley, behind Ernie’s Cafe. It is open at different times throughout the week, including some First Fridays. You can drop by or schedule a visit by emailing or using the contact form.
